Palm Island Summer Clean Up by BICI & PIE
On behalf of the Bocilla Islands Conservancy and Palm Island Estates, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible volunteers—most of whom are our fellow island residents and neighbors—who made this year’s Clean-Up Day such a success. Together, we cleaned over 30 properties and the easements along Kettle Harbor Drive, Bocilla Drive, Adele, South Gulf Blvd., Palm Drive, Bayshore Drive, Gasparilla Way, Tarpon Way, North Gulf Blvd., and more!
With your hard work (and lots of trucks, trailers, and teamwork), we filled two massive dumpsters—removing 2 tons of vegetation and 4 tons of construction debris from the island. That included everything from roll-down aluminum on South Gulf and plastic pavers to pilings, plywood, mangrove debris, and general trash from easements.
A special shoutout goes to the Englewood High School wrestling team for lending their strength and spirit, and to Waste Management of Port Charlotte for generously donating the dumpsters.
Thank you again for showing up with your energy, your gear, and your big hearts. Your efforts made a real difference. If you’d like to help us keep the momentum going, please consider donating to Palm Island Estates or the Bocilla Islands Conservancy. We appreciate you all!
