Join your neighbors as we kick off sea turtle nesting season with the Lights Out for Sea Turtles gathering. Hosted in partnership with the Coastal Wildlife Club and Bocilla Islands Conservancy, this relaxed beach gathering celebrates the return of nesting sea turtles and helps raise awareness about how artificial lighting affects nesting turtles and hatchlings.

Come meet the local turtle team, learn how simple lighting choices can help protect sea turtles, and spend time with neighbors as we celebrate the start of the nesting season.

This is a potluck-style beach gathering, so please bring a dish to share, your own beverages, and a chair.
